Idaho falls blueprint for houses

I’m not really sure what to think other than I’m sure we’re going to have a dry spring and summer if it doesn’t change soon. Here we are in Idaho, in January, and we’ve barely seen a dusting of snow since winter started. If you have some videos of your own (family safe, of course…) that you’d like to share, just let me know and I’ll get them up on the site. As of this post, though, the only videos available are the ones of Jesse while in the NICU two years ago. Also, I recently created a Youtube channel in the hopes that I might post some videos in the future. Speaking of which, I recently posted a couple of new photos of her in my Picasa Photo Gallery. All of the vehicles are running, I’ve been putting in quite a bit of overtime to cover our summer trip and Amya just keeps getting bigger. There’s really not a whole lot to say about the rest of us, though. She’ll tell you that she still has to get through her Senior Project first but I have faith in her. While everything else has been pretty quiet, lately, I would like to let everyone know that Meagan received her acceptance letter to CWI this week! A while ago, we started sorting through a lot of the different grants and scholarships that might be available to her and it looks like that’s a good thing. Oh well, I guess it’s better to have something to do than to have nothing to do (didn’t somebody say that idle hands are the devil’s workshop?). If next weekend is nice, too, I’ll probably have to forget about any more touch-ups and try to get the garden planted. I finally decided that I really needed to get some yard work done today and blew off any touch-up jobs. I guess the worst part of the whole job was the fact that we’ve had the best weather of the year on the weekends that I’ve had to work inside the house. And, we finally got rid of the water bed that we’ve had for over 20 years and now have to get new bedroom furniture to go along with the new bed and the lack of drawer space, since the water bed had a captain’s pedestal. Kelly’s now in the process of picking out new curtains and wall accessories to complete the look. I’ve still had to do some touch-ups whenever I notice a spot on a wall or ceiling but, other than that, it only took us four days to do four rooms and two hallways, and we only used five gallons of paint. We have, historically, bought cheaper paint and have found that, like most things, you get what you pay for and I’m glad we paid the money for the Sherwin-Williams this time. She said we should paint the rooms with a Sherwin-Williams color called latte and it turned out very well. Kelly happens to teach a girl who’s mother is an interior designer and, I have to say, she obviously did a much better job at picking paint than we ever could. We had realized that, although the kid’s rooms and bathroom have been painted a few times, we haven’t painted the living room, kitchen, hallways or master bedroom since we moved in some umpteen years ago. Well, we’ve been pretty busy, over the last few weekends, with prepping and painting the inside of our house.
